Conductor Bobby Byrne was trombonist with Tommy Dorsey who
went on to lead one of the great popular bands of the Swing era. When stereo recordings were first introduced in 1957 Byrne gathered as many veteran musicians he could find who had once played with Glenn Miller or the Dorsey Brothers to re-record many of the popular hits in stereo utilising the original arrangements. On this CD you will find In the Mood, Tuxedo Junction, Moonlight Serenade, Amapola, Green Eyes, I'm Getting Sentimental Over You sounding glorious in hi-fi stereo. Thanks to these great musicians we can now enjoy the full dynamic range of these magnificent performances.
