Originally released in 1977, Joseph Hill's new vocal trio captured the pressure of social and econimic life and the growing spirit of Rastafari in Kingston, Jamaica. His vision of 1977 as a year of judgement - when Two Sevens Clash - when past injustices would be avenged, reached much futher than Jamaica and reggae circles making this one of the albums of the year. Still as vital as ever in the 21st Century, TWO SEVENS CLASH stands-out as a landmark album setting a new standard for reggae music. An inspired work of enduring power.
