Catriona(Fiddlers' Bid)and Olov (Vasen) release their stunning new album of both traditional and new music played on Scottish Harp and Swedish nyckelharpa.

Catriona Mckay and Olov Johansson's new album of traditional and new music presents the unique and dynamic sound of Scottish Harp and Swedish nyckelharpa. Catriona and Olov first met in Stockholm in 2002 at a concert shared by their bands Fiddlers' Bid, based in Shetland,and the astonishing Swedish group Vasen. They have since collaborated in the Celtic Connections 2007 concert Fiddler's Bid International, on Olov's solo album I lust och Glod and on Catriona's brilliant Floe project.

Olov, the first Nyckelharpa world champion,is a founder member of Vasen-"both ancient and futuristic" Sweden's top traditional group and stalwarts of many US and European tours.
Catriona's last album 'Starfish' was nominated for Album of the Year at 2008's Scottish Trad Music Awards, and was named Classic Album at Celtic Connections 2009.
