Description

Renowned guitarist/box player Tim Edey and harmonica guru Brendan Power conjure up 17 scintillating tracks, including 4 songs. Rootsy rhythms and jaw-dropping virtuosity!

Adventurous creative players are drawn to each other, and the first time Tim and Brendan met the musical sparks flew. This new duo's powerful blend of passion and virtuosity is infectious. What sets them apart from most folk/Celtic acts is their free-wheeling approach to live performance: they love to improvise, which means that every time they do a piece it sounds different & fresh. It's that sheer, mad seat-of-your-pants spontaneity which unfailingly captures audiences everywhere!

Both have serious form as performers, composers and as session men for big name acts. Tim, hugely talented on acoustic guitar and button accordion, has recorded with Christy Moore, the Chieftains, Lunasa, Sharon Shannon, and Michael McGoldrick. Brendan, acknowledged by many as one of the most versatile and creative harmonica players around today, has recorded with the likes of Sting, Kate Bush, James Galway, Paul Brady and Altan.

Their first major festival was Celtic Colours, Cape Breton, where they wowed audiences and stole the show with their blistering late night Festival Club appearances. On returning to England they recorded their debut CD Wriggle and Writhe and are currently in the middle of a busy summer of UK festival appearances.
