Mirror of Truth

'Mirror of Truth' features original compositions by the pianist and composer Clara Ponty who is the daughter of the world-renowned jazz violinist and composer Jean-Luc Ponty. Produced and co-produced by and with her father, the album fully showcases Clara's tremendous power as both composer and pianist with performances that bring together elements of classical and jazz improvisation into one organic and endearing sound. Settings range from solo through to duos and quartets and feature Jean-Luc Ponty on eight of the twelve tracks. Born in Paris and raised in Los Angeles, Clara Ponty was classically trained. Her career was officially launched in 1997 with her self-titled debut album for Universal Records, which was followed in 1999 by the album, 'The Embrace'. Both met with critical acclaim and revealed her as a "soulful artist who creates unique, delicate and emotionally intense compositions."
