Description
Jeff Talmadge revisits some familiar themes and explores new musical and lyrical territory, bringing together some of Austin's and Nashville's finest musicians. Supporting Jeff on this CD are Lloyd Maines, Bradley Kopp, John Gardner, Leon Medica, Tim Thompson, David Webb, Rand McCullough and Chip Dolan.
Jeff's wide-ranging experiences permeate his songs. He has been a janitor, a Capitol Hill Congressional press secretary, an associate scout for a major league baseball team, a published poet, a seminary student, a board-certified lawyer and an award-winning songwriter. Since his 1999 debut CD, Secret Anniversaries (described by one reviewer as a "nearly perfect recording"), each of Jeff's recordings has received extraordinary reviews and extensive airplay in the US and Europe.
Every CD that Jeff has released has been named to numerous "best of" lists by radio presenters and music critics in the US and Europe. Blissville, first released in Europe, debuted at No. 2 on the EuroAmericana Chart and reached No. 1 on the Roots Music Report in the US. In addition, the Americana audience responded and Blissville remained on the Americana Chart for three months. His songs have also been recorded by numerous other artists.
