Change In The Weather

The Alligator debut for Eric Lindell, a California-born, New Orleans-based songwriter-guitarist-vocalist just bursting at the seams with natural-born talent, refreshingly original songs and irresistible rhythms. A 1999 winner of the John Lennon Songwriter Competition, Lindell writes songs that are cliché-free, yet have an instant familiarity to them, with laid-back grooves and hooky melodies that evoke '70s-era Van Morrison and early Bruce Springsteen as much as contemporary artists like Jack Johnson and Ray LaMontagne. Lindell is a fan favourite in his northern California turf (where stars like Tom Waits and Charlie Musselwhite have come out to see him) and his adopted home of New Orleans, where he's been featured on the cover of OffBeat magazine and performed on the main stage at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Since moving to New Orleans, Eric has played with some of the Crescent City's top musicians as well as some of the jam band community's biggest names (including members of Galactic). Change In The Weather features musical contributions from Ivan Neville, Galactic's Stanton Moore and War drummer Harold Brown.
