This double album contains 32 songs by legendary songwriter Townes Van Zandt, performed for the occasion by Joe Ely, Terry Allen, Malcolm Holcombe, Sam Baker, The Orphan Brigade, Slaid Cleaves, Thom Chacon, James Maddock, Michael McDermott and many others, among which, on his recording debut, Jack Trooper, son of the late and unforgotten Greg.
Their extraordinary work celebrates one of the greatest artists of all times. The cover artwork was especially designed by songwriter Sam Baker and the booklet features previously unpublished photographs and a drawing by Italian songwriter and guitar player Ivan Graziani, who died on the same day as Townes Van Zandt, January 1st 1997. The songs were recorded in Santa Fe, Nashville, Austin, and New York City, and the album was mastered in Colorado. An absolute masterpiece featuring a line-up of international stars.
