    Mexico is very rich in different regional music traditions. Some styles, like Mariachi, Norteno and Banda have been recorded many times and are quite widely known. Others, such as the music of the state of Michoacin featured here, have remained less known. This sextet from Michoacin were recorded in California in 1985 & 1987. It is emotional music, the singers accompanied by a harp, two violins, guitar, vihuela , jarana and tamborero.
