ATMA Classique, Ensemble ArtChoral and Mecenat Musica are proud to present Art choral, Vol 5: Romantique with Ensemble ArtChoral under the direction of Matthias Maute. Featuring choral music from the Romantic era by Mendelssohn, Bruckner, Verdi, Brahms, Meyerbeer, Tchaikovsky, Gounod, and Faure; this album is the fourth release from our ART CHORAL series.
The ART CHORAL series is a unique and ambitious project surveying the history of choral singing over six centuries, from the Renaissance to the present day. Consisting of 11 volumes, the series will roll out over the next three years and will feature works by 50 composers from the 16th to the 21st centuries, as well as 11 webcast concerts and 120 videos.
Ensemble ArtChoral (formerly Ensemble vocal Arts-Quebec) is a professional choir whose mission is to present the great tradition of choral singing in Quebec, Canada, and abroad.
Matthias Maute has achieved international renown as a conductor, recorder and flute player, and composer.
