  • Description

Rising alt. indie/emo outfit The Winter Passing have announced the release of their brand new forthcoming EP Double Exposure. The Irish quartet have spent the last year and a half touring internationally, sharing stages with Touché Amore, Modern Baseball, Gnarwolves, Balance and Composure, and embarking on a sold out UK tour with Moose Blood, before heading over to the states to record brand new EP Double Exposure with legendary producer J. Robbins (Against Me!, The Promise Ring, Texas Is The Reason, Jets To Brazil). At the heart of the group is brother and sister Rob and Kate Flynn, who have been playing music together since they were 14 and 12, respectively. Growing up together the two shared a love of punk and indie crossover bands such as The Get Up Kids, The Anniversary, Weezer, The Replacements, and Sonic Youth, the influence of which is present in their songwriting. The album received wide praise from the likes of Noisey, Rock Sound Magazine and The Irish Times along with a packed show at Ireland’s premiere Music Festival Electric Picnic (alongside Tame Impala, Mac Demarco, Alvvays, Interpol, Blur). 2015 saw the band tour the American East Coast for the first time including appearances in Brooklyn, NY supporting PWR BTTM & Gainesville, FL at THE FEST (Andrew WK, Modern Baseball, Beach Slang, Foxing, TWIABP, Lagwagon, MewithoutYou).
