An accomplished musician with a varied palette, his previous outings on labels such as Wigflex and Fever AM (run by Mor Elian and Rhyw), as well as his own imprint Bliss Print, have seen his sound span from weighty 2-step bangers to beautifully constructed ambient techno tracks.Son of Philip (AKA Tom Smith) now releases 'Plastic Borough' via Nottingham's Running Circle Records. Throughout this heady and engaging record hypnotic, grainy textures and analogue warmth cast a heavy cloak over a sea of shifting sonics beneath. Beautifully melding fragmented synths against swirling clouds of particles, twisting and contorted sounds permeate the haze in an alluring and intoxicating blend.
