'The Blues Rolls On' is a searing collection of studio sessions, one live track, and a Paul Butterfield Band tune, "Yonder's Wall." Before the album can close with a shimmering instrumental of Jimmy Reed's "Honest I Do," there's a bunch of standout tracks to groove on, such as the swampy Zydeco blues of "Black Gal" and a foot-stompin', solo electric take of Bishop's "Oklahoma." Two R&B provides further highlights covers, Ray Charles' "Night Time Is the Right Time" and Junior Wells' "I Found Out." -
