Conjuring up the mood of 1930s Paris, fused with flavours of Eastern Europe and a liberal sprinkling of high energy folk, The Schmoozenbergs' uplifting music will put a smile on your face and a spring in your step. With two guitars, violin and double bass, their irresistible rhythms, lyrical melodies and joyful improvisations create an upbeat and heart-warming sound.
This collection of original instrumental compositions is influenced by a cocktail of musical traditions, from Gypsy jazz to Klezmer, Celtic, Balkan and beyond. Perfectly encapsulating the spirit of the band, the album flows between high-octane playfulness and moments of serenity and reflection. Mouse was recorded in late 2023, and is the follow up to their 2019 album 'Awaken'. Based in Bristol, the band formed in 2012, and have been delighting audiences at venues and festivals around the UK for the past decade.
