  • Description

Debut Album From Dynamic New Traditional Irish Band from London.

CrossHarbour is a dynamic new band emerging from London's thriving traditional Irish music scene. Fusing well-loved traditional tunes and songs with self-penned material and original arrangements, CrossHarbour are gaining recognition for their highly virtuosic, energetic and polished performances. Their self-titled debut album seamlessly blends newly composed with traditional material, demonstrating the band's skills in performing, composing and arranging.

CrossHarbour showcases the talents of Órlaith McAuliffe, who at the age of just 21 has been crowned All-Ireland champion no fewer than 19 times. Originally from Nottingham and now a leading light on London's traditional session scene, fiddle player Sam Proctor gained critical acclaim for his 2008 debut solo album Natural Progression. Philippe Barnes is a multi-instrumentalist, who joins CrossHarbour primarily as a guitarist. Philippe has toured with Celtic-Jazz group All Jigged Out as well as folk/hip-hop act Dizraeli and the Small Gods. Tad Sargent is in demand as a session musician and bodhrán teachers well as being a gifted bouzouki player. He has recorded with Guy Ritchie's Punchbowl Band and Brian Kelly. CrossHarbour's lineup is completed by singer Rosie Hodgson. Rosie was a finalist in the 2013 BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards, and brings her considerable songwriting talents to the band.
