"Forever is 4 You" continues the Mouse Boys' adventure, having been launched from their small rural village to the world. Using stones for kick-drum mallets, they are a literal "rock" band. And, their hand carved and sheet-metal guitars give true meaning to the term DIY. One of the members' mother gave him a birth name that translates to "I hate you," expressing the not so-subtle hostility of the environment that they were born into. This album incorporates some of the influences that the band has acquired traveling to the USA, UK, Australia, and beyond, and bears the stamp of greater experimentation. But the realities of their homeland are never too far from mind. Notably, during the recording of the album, Joseph's unerringly jovial exterior collapsed as he sang the song that he had composed about losing his mother and becoming orphaned as a small child. That is the sound of his sobbing that ends the song, a cathartic moment that continued for nearly five minutes after we'd stopped recording. He said it was the first time in his life that he'd ever allowed himself to mourn and weep.
