Description
This is the second album by Stömp and their first for Osmosys Records. Stömp are a high-energy Ceilidh band whose musical radio is tuned primarily to English tradition but is avidly listening out to the rest of the British Isles, across Scandinavia to Europe in one direction and over the Atlantic to New England and Canada in the other.
The CD mixes the band's trademark high-octane take on traditional dance music with some self-composed tunes and songs. Concertina, flute, mandolin and fiddle weave an intricate and imaginative mix over the solid foundation of the most flexible and muscular of electric rhythm sections.
