Michael Ducker, director and spiritus rector of Nuovo Aspetto, has searched in libraries and archives and found Haydn works that fit perfectly to the chamber music instrumentation of his ensemble.
He has re-edited the originals or adapted them to today's musical requirements.
The result is a fascinating project with amazingly coherent sounding chamber music versions. For example, the amusing Symphony in C major Hob.I:61 is heard here in the arrangement by Haydn contemporary and Salzburg harpist Father Meingosius Gaelle.
