From Buenos Aires, the band leaves us a sound proposal that floats in time and space, stuffing it with images and pop motifs. Low fi, soul and chillwave come together in this slow motion party that is Isla de Caras. Latin American pop passed through the stylistic filter of the unclassifiable Connan Mockasin or Ariel Pink (the ethereal aura of Baba Stiltz and LA Priest also flies above it), the new material from Isla de Caras has each and every one of the fundamental elements of the pop song, but with a narcotic twist.
