Description
David Ball exploded onto the country music scene in 1994 with his double-platinum debut "Thinkin' Problem" for Warner Brothers. He is one of those rare contemporary country artists who has had hits even as he stayed true to the classic honky tonk country sound.
He hit the country charts throughout the '90s and scored a major radio hit
with "Riding With Private Malone" in 2001. This new album is an irresistible collection of David's wonderful versions of classic country hits drawn from the past four decades. Included are sparkling honky tonk or western swing versions of Hank Williams' "Half As Much", Webb Pierce's "There Stands The Glass", Hank Locklin's #1 smash "Please Help Me I'm Falling", Bob Wills' classic "Faded Love" and a host of others.
A highlight of the album is David's original composition "Please Feed The Jukebox", which relates to his reputation as a 'human jukebox' due to his well known ability to convincingly sing any country hit from any era. -
