Reissue of a 1978 session by pianist Al Haig and his longtime bassist Jamil Nasser who co-led a quartet that included the fine British tenor saxist Art Themen. One of the finest bebop pianists Haig played with Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker and Stan Getz in the 1940s and 1950s. After a period of relative inactivity he made a comeback in the 1970s, when he was finally recognized as a true bop giant.
