A straight-ahead session from acclaimed Swiss tenor saxophonist Andy Scherrer with Detroit pianist William Evans, former Brad Mehldau drummer Jorge Rossey, and bassist Stephan Kurmann who is known internationally for his classical/jazz ensemble, Kurmann Strings.Featuring a programme of jazz standards and one original composition by Scherrer himself ("Flatus Cerebralis"), notable highlights include Fats Waller's "Jitterbug Waltz", Mal Waldron's "Rock My Soul", and Horace Silver's "Peace", recorded live at the Bird's Eye Jazz Club, Basel.
