  • Description

Tenor Zachary Wilder performs French Baroque cantatas accompanied by the superb period instrument ensemble, Les Bostonades.

This album, recorded in 2016, contains a selection of celebrated French Baroque cantatas, featuring stories of star-crossed love, as well as instrumental works, by two influential French Baroque composers, Louis-Nicolas Clerambault (1676–1749) and Jean-Philippe Rameau (1683–1764). Works include 'Pirame et Tisbe' and Orpheeby' by Louis-Nicolas Clerambault and 'L'Impatience', Cinquieme Concert (La Forqueray - La Cupis - La Marais) from Pièces de clavecin en concerts and the Prelude in A minor by Jean-Philippe Rameau.

Tenor Zachary Wilder is recognised internationally on the operatic and concert stages for his work in repertoire from the 17th and 18th centuries. He now works with leading ensembles, including Les Arts Florissants, Bach Collegium Japan, Boston Early Music Festival, Capella Mediterranea, Le Concert Spirituel, Collegium Vocale Gent, and numerous others.
