Two years after releasing "Coracao Louco" her first Portuguese-language EP recorded in Brazil, Laure Briard continues her adventure with The Boogarins. The singer-songwriter met the Brazilian band at SXSW in 2017 resulting in a tour of Texas and Mexico, as well as the start of a great friendship. Five months after the meeting, Laure began to write in Portuguese, and the idea of a collaboration emerged, despite the distance between the countries. She flew to Brazil to tour and record, and now introduces a new ambitious EP in which she reunites one of the currently most-watched psych bands, with her long-time associates Vincent Guyot (aka "Pieuvre") and Marious Duflot at the prestigious studio Dissenso, just as the tropical rain pours on Sao Paulo. She says "I was lucky that Dino, singer with the Boogarins, suggests songs to me - here he wrote "Passaros" and his sister "Morena ne Janela". My contributions were a mystic text about my favourite goddess Yemanja, goddess of the sea, and a melody sent to Giovana Cidreira. The resulting songs "Super Trama" and "Respire" were written remotely, and the studio end-result was magic". Laure explores the intensity of emotions, the themes of love, sadness, voyaging, magic and mysticism. A refined EP inspired by the tropicalism of Gal Costa and the Novos Baianos.
