A major country star of the 1960s and 1970s before his untimely death in 1978, Bob Luman began his career under the spell of Elvis and was among the first wave of local rockabillies to create his own brand of Texas "Cat music". This package contains the last word on Luman's formative years: the early demos with Mac Curtis' band, the first recordings with James Burton and The Shadows, the consummate Imperial label masters and those tracks recorded for the movie Carnival Rock, all accompanied by a DVD of the legendary Rock 'n' Roll film itself, featuring The Platters, The Blockbusters and David Houston, in addition to the one and only Bob Luman.
