Re-Orient (also sometimes known as Jazz Orient) are multi-instrumentalist Baluji Shrivastav (principally sitar and tabla), Linda Shanovitch (vocals) and Chris Conway (low whistle, keyboards including synth, acoustic guitar). They have been making music together for 10 years, appearing at festivals and other events all over Britain.
On this recording they are joined on some tracks by guest musicians Hossam Ramzy (darabuka, duff), Andy Sheppard (saxophone) and Guy Barker (trumpet).
