Rumours Of A Nice Day

Daniel Maitland could be described as a modern Renaissance man: poet, novelist, musician, songwriter and mentor. He has played and written with many artists including Geno Washington, All Saints, the RSC and members of Stereo MCs. He has spent the past five years mentoring young British musicians on the Government New Deal for Musicians scheme, including Adem, MC Skibadee and members of Hard Fi. He has written two novels and a huge poetry collection. His poems have been featured on Sky TV and in a number of UK magazines. He was short-listed in the national Faber and Faber poetry competition and his poems have been set to music by amongst others, the North Sea Radio Orchestra. He can often be found drinking lots of tea and eating far too many chocolate biscuits at the very nourishing East Dulwich Writers Group. He describes this new release as an "unashamedly reflective album of acoustic songs".
