Take My Waltz: Sings Leon

Throughout her career, Ebba Forsberg has alternated between her own songs and interpretations of others. On her new album she puts her highly personal versions on the songs of Leonard Cohen. Ebba Forsberg lived as a child first in the Caribbean and then in Botswana, Africa. Her mother's husband had UN mission that took the family there. First in the 2000s, she moved to Stockholm full time. Solo debut "Been There" from 1996 was signed by Madonna's label Maverick, but after a short but intense effort to break through in the United States ("it sold just 100,000, it was not enough") Forsberg realized she needed to land and that the best airstrip was in Nacka, outside Stockholm.

With that base, she has made four albums with original songs, has had periods as an actor, made a number of acclaimed interpretation albums and has recently started her own yoga studio at home in Nacka. Immediately after the 2015 album's release, in which Ebba sung Tom Waits in Swedish translations, followed an "American Songbook" tour with other Swedish artists.

Her new album, "Take My Waltz: Ebba Forsberg Sings Leonard Cohen" and includes some of Cohen's best songs.
