This is the second volume of James Brown recordings to be released by Jasmine. The first volume "I've Got to Change - The early Sessions 1956-1959" (JASCD563) was released in 2010. This second volume picks up almost exactly where the last ended, this time however Jasmine have focused on his 45 releases between 1959 and 1962.
"I've Got Money, I've Got The Power" is 28 tracks showcasing James Brown's early career leading up to his seminal "Live At The Apollo" album. Hits include, "Think", "You've Got The Power", "Lost Someone", "Shout & Shimmy" plus many more!
Here then are James Brown's singles to the end of 1962 after which nothing was the same again.
