  • Description

In the tradition of all those old, British radio shows, with their mad sketches, funny characters, clever word play and silly sound effects – comes this steampunk-flavoured comedy show... With a series of sketches based loosely in a Victorian era where the stories of HG Wells and Jules Verne are fact rather than fiction, and where the jokes are even older, 'Rayguns in Aspic' celebrates classic radio comedy. The CD also includes a bonus comedy adventure entitled 'Mummy Dearest'. 'Rayguns in Aspic' was originally produced as a radio play, performed live on stage, for the largest steampunk convention in Europe, the Asylum in Lincoln in 2010. This was so successful, that the cast went into the studio and recorded the show with renowned music producer Kuljit Bhamra. In September 2011, at this year's Asylum, the CD was launched with readings from the scripts and a new live radio play. Count Rostov is a published writer and now writes and produces comedy sketches, plays and stories.
