At a time of personal success for each member of the Wisdom of Crowds project, Kscope are re-releasing the jaw dropping work of art from The Pineapple Thief's frontman Bruce Soord and Katatonia's singer Jonas Renkse. Soord, following the release of summer hit record with The Pineapple Thief, 'Your Wilderness', is rounding off a European tour with guest virtuoso drummer Gavin Harrison (King Crimson) at the Islington Assembly Hall in London. Charted and critically acclaimed, the album reached #7 in the UK Indie charts.
Jonas Renkse is currently enjoying the successes of Katatonia's 2016 popular metal album 'The Fall of Hearts', and has been touring the album since its release - continuing in 2017 with a five-week North America tour and a Spring tour of the UK & Ireland. The album reached #1 in the USA Heatseekers and #5 in the USA Hard Rock charts, #2 in Sweden's Hard Rock chart, #3 in Canada's Hard Rock chart, #4 in the UK's Rock and Metal chart, #6 in Finland, #11 in Germany and saw success in Australia with their first ever chart entry.
As 'Wisdom of Crowds' was originally written with Renkse's voice in mind, Soord sought out the acclaimed Katatonia vocalist to complete the compositions and release the music to the masses in 2013. Despite the rigorous schedules of The Pineapple Thief and Katatonia, the two musicians were eventually able to connect to record an album that swings between fragile acoustic motifs and pounding rock riffs.
