FRENCH RAP TITANS PNL RETURN WITH BRAND NEW ALBUM

CD version 2 with "CAPUCHE" - Bonus track, not available anywhere else.

"PNL are the French rappers you need to know immediately" - The FADER

"PNL changed the rules" - i-D

"PNL will change the way you think about hip hop" - Uproxx

Two brothers who have flipped the worldwide landscape of rap on its head, French duo PNL have returned with a taste of brand new music in the form of 'Au DD'. Following on from their history-making sophomore album 'Dans La Légende' (which was the first independent French album to reach diamond status, selling over 850,000 copies to date), 'Au DD' is a glimpse into a forthcoming new project, complete with an unprecedented visual. Becoming the first artists to film inside the Eiffel Tower, the self-directed video finds the brothers using the iconic monument as their HQ, filling the visual with grandiose aerial shots of the group from within the tower's unmistakable structure. Calling to mind images of Christopher Nolan's images of Gotham in the Batman series, the visual follow's the track's own narrative; tracking the brothers' journey from selling drugs in Paris to replacing that with their music and feeding the streets in a positive manner. The track marks a progression in PNL's signature 'cloud rap' sound; immersive, deep, subtle, and laced with melodic flows and narratives from within Paris' subcultural underbelly. Already an admirer of the group, Louis Vuitton Artistic Director Virgil Abloh has collaborated with PNL's own QLF brand for a special capsule collection for his Off-White label, modelled by the brothers within the visual. Integrating the brand's own iconography with PNL's logo, the link up marks one of many instances in which French rap's most culturally important act have been cosigned on an international stage. With 'Au DD' and more new music to come, that stage is set for PNL to ascend further from France's homegrown heroes to renowned household names worldwide.
