    • Dub reggae legend Lee "Scratch" Perry returns to the studio with new roots reggae dub
    • Produced by Spacewave and recorded in Jamaica and the USA, with backing vocals by Dames Brown and Groovematist and backing musicians Speak Easy and percussionist Larry McDonald
    • This Grammy-winning artist, songwriter and producer continues his commentary spirituality, good and evil and the human condition

Without doubt the best known and most charismatic of all Jamaican record producers, Lee "Scratch" Perry is a legend of reggae and dub and his story is inseparable from that of the development of Jamaican music. Scratch found his popularity back in the 60s with quirky instrumental numbers whose titles often took inspiration from the spaghetti westerns that were popular in Kingston's downtown cinemas at the time.

Perry was a pioneer in the 1970s development of dub music with his early adoption of remixing and studio effects to create new instrumental or vocal versions of existing reggae tracks. He has worked with and produced for a wide variety of artists, including Bob Marley and the Wailers, Junior Murvin, the Congos, Max Romeo, Adrian Sherwood, the Beastie Boys, Ari Up, and many others.

His place in the history of popular music is assured and the influence of the sounds he created can be heard reverberating around the world. He is Jamaica's answer to Joe Meek, Phil Spector and Brian Wilson all rolled into one.
