Description
Barry Green's meeting with prominent New York based musicians, saxophonist Chris Cheek and drummer Gerald Cleaver.After years of listening to their music with Paul Motian, Charlie Haden, Brad Mehldau, Craig Taborn and Bill Frisell, Barry recorded this unique bass-less trio in a freezing Brooklyn studio in 2014.
Featuring original music as well as tributes to Mulgrew Miller and Cedar Walton, "Great News" is released on Moletone records, and will be followed by Barry's trio with Drew Gress and Tom Rainey.
