Three Concerts: Live at the Auditorium Parco della Musica

A tribute to one of the best contemporary pianists, Franco D'Andrea, with a 3CD box set containing live recordings of three concerts held in Rome between 2013 and 2014. Disc 1 shows, next to D'Andrea, two undisputed leaders of their instruments, Dave Douglas on trumpet and Han Bennink on drums, always engaged in search for new forms of expression : a concert in which much is left to instinct and intuition, managing to capture three musicians in a state of grace. In disc 2 D'Andrea joins his sextet, winner of "Top Jazz 2014 Best Band": Andrea Ayassot (alto sax), Daniele D'Agaro (clarinet), Mauro Ottolini (trombone), Aldo Mella (double bass) and Zeno De Rossi (drums). They proceed as following an imaginary canvas on which then, like an inlay, are moments of pure improvisation space. Disc 3 is a solo performance showing a versatile musician, an artist with an infinite palette of colors, able to give to his music an incredible amount of charm and nuances.
