Description
It is thirty years ago that Michael de Jong and his bluesrockband stood on the stage of 'The Stone' in California. He describes the project as 'The greatest group of friends I had the honour of sharing space and time with on the stage and on the road…'. The repertoire consists of several covers, such as 'Just Like A Woman' by Bob Dylan and the haunting 'Into The Mystic' (Van Morrison) next to Jeffrey Bowen's 'Shaky Ground' and a swinging version of 'Willy And The Hand Jive' (Johnny Otis). Of course Michael also performs three tracks of his own. For many fans it will be a surprise to hear him play the electric guitar! With this band Michael toured the US and Canada extensively between 1981 tot 1984. These recordings were made just before the breaking up. Personnel: Bobby Flurie (guitar), Roger Paskett (bass), Dick McDonough (drums), Michael de Jong (vocals, guitar). -
