Having won the Amália Rodrigues Foundation’s prize for the Best Fado Male Singer it seems appropriate that Antonio Zambujo would have appeared in the role of Francisco da Cruz, Amalia’s first husband, in the blockbuster Musical ‘Amália’, which ran for 4 years in Lisbon. Antonio has also worked with the renowned Portugese guitarist and composer Mario Pacheco. His third album recreates the traditions of Fado whilst bringing a unique vocal style to the reportoire of Brazilian Popular Music, Bulgarian vocalese and jazz. Songlines Top Of The World July 2008.
