At long last we can present the final instalment in our programme to re-issue the complete recordings made by the Oldham Tinkers for Topic Records. FOR OLD TIME'S SAKE is the groups third album from 1975 and is full of typical Lancashire folk song and humour. Full of larger-than-life characters such as Johnny Bugger, Billy Winker and John Willie, the album also features a more exotic continental feel with "Signora", and moral tales like "Come Whoam To Thi Childer an Me". This new re-mastered package is available on CD for the first time and also features five bonus tracks: "The Lancashire Miller, "In Our Town", "The Oldham Pensioner" and "Th' Childrens Holiday" from 'Oldhams Burning Sands' and "Hop, Hop, Hop" from the rare 'Deep Lancashire' album.
