A longtime fixture of the Pacific Northwest blues community, singer/harmonica player Salgado was reputedly the inspiration for John Belushi's character in The Blues Brothers. He first emerged in the mid 1970s as the lead vocalist of The Robert Cray band before fronting Room Of Blues between 1984 and 1986. During the last five years he has broadened his profile in the USA with extensive touring. This new album delivers a strong set of soul and blues. Highlights include his unique Memphis Soul-styled version of The Beatles' "I'll Be Back" and a fine revival of Bill Withers' "Who Is He And What Is He To You?" Guest performers include Sonny Landreth and Beka Bramlett.
