BBC Radio Young Folk Awards winner with a great voice, James Findlay, returns with a second album which will do much to enhance his growing reputation.

Following on from winning BBC Radio 2's Young Folk Awards in 2010 at the age of 20, James Findlay was signed by leading Folk Music label Fellside and released his album, "Sport & Play" (FECD238).

English Dance & Song noted "He has a great voice ?and handles a repertoire that would normally be associated with an experienced performer with no difficulty", R2 magazine commented "Findlay is a singer of rare strength and conviction" and Living Tradition magazine said that "James's voice has steel and sensitivity, with clear phrasing and a dramatic edge".

All this helped to establish James Findlay as one of the leading young Folk performers. Since the release of the album he has been consolidating his position playing the Folk club and festival circuit, as well as playing the part of Dick Dewy in Under The Greenwood Tree, a film about the life of Thomas Hardy.

His new CD builds on the previous one with an excellent choice of mostly traditional songs. Again he keep sit simple to let the songs speak for themselves and it will go a long way to further enhance his growing reputation.
