Box player extraordinaire Martin O'Connor made his recording debut with this album, originally released in 1979. Since then he has gone on to perform and record with De Dannan and has turned out a number of solo recordings featuring primarily his own compositions. O'Connor's intense and exuberant playing (influenced in part by the famous Galway piper Patsy Touhey) is enabled by his technical mastery of the instrument. Featuring Martin O'Connor (accordion, melodeon), Dónal Lunny (blarge), Gerry O'Beirne (guitar) and Colm Murphy (bodhran).
