A delightful new album from English-born Paris-based singer-songwriter Morning Star aka Jesse D Vernon packed to the rafters with quality songs performed with panache.

Morning Star is songwriter / multi-instrumentalist Jesse D. Vernon, who releases his 4th album A Sign For The Stranger on 28 Sept on Folkwit Records. Originally from Bristol, now based in Paris, Jesse has found success in France with countless gigs, features in top rock mag Les Inrockuptibles and his music in several French movies. Jesse has toured Japan four times, most recently last October.

A Sign For The Stranger has all his experiences, history and passion for music, mixing European flavours with English references to make a very enjoyable listen. Guess It was You is as summery a single as you?ll hear all year, with its joyously laid-back groove.
A key member of the cult Bristol band Moonflowers, who first came to attention with the indie hit Get Higher in 1990, Jesse can also be found playing as one half of This Is The Kit with partner Kate Stables. Morning Star has shared bills with long time musical ally John Parish (P. J. Harvey, Sparklehorse), The National, Jeffrey Lewis, Bert Jansch, M Ward, Camera Obscura.

Tracks; There Was A Man / Longest Way Round / Guess It Was You / Golden Boy / Still Mountain / That?s How She Hit Town / Sun In Your Eyes / Rainbow land / Gone Again
