Description

Nancy Kerr came to prominence when she started working (and recording) as a duo with Eliza Carthy. James Fagan comes from the noted Australian folk singing family, The Fagans. They were both members of Eliza Carthy's Kings Of Calicutt and teamed up in 1995, having made three albums for Fellside, they won two BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards (Horizon and Best Duo).

Still rooted in traditional music, plus a nice line in their own compositions and those of others, they present a eclectic mixture of songs and tunes. "The singing soon wins over a listener while the instrumental sets can be quite incendiary" - Dirty Linen. Sessioning on the CD is Martin Simpson, returning the compliment following their appearance on his recent album.

WINNER OF SPIRAL EARTH AWARD 2012: BEST MALE SINGER (JAMES FAGAN)
