Description

As a young man Norrie Cox led his own outfit the San Jacinto Jazz Band, during the trad boom of the late 50's early 60's. In 66 he moved from England to the US but it was not until 1989 that together with cornetist Charlie DeVore he put his dream band inplace - The New Orleans Stompers. The band is back on Delmark for a third album this time live with special guest Butch Thompson who is a master of ragtime, stride and classic jazz piano.
