Description

The first CD of this 2CD set captures the Kenton band on its return engagement at the Golden Lion in Dayton, Ohio in October 1970. This tour was one of the opening forays of the magnificent Kenton bands of the 70s. The second disc features a 1972 interview by Stan Kenton during which he relates, in fine detail, the history of the band, the players and arrangers that brought the band to prominence and the distinct periods of the band's history.
