This 90-minute DVD follows the acclaimed violinist Benjamin Schmid for a year as he travels the world. It features him performing the Korngold Violin Concerto with Seiji Ozawa and the Vienna Philharmonic at the opening of the Salzburg Festival. Contributors include Hans Werner Henze, André Previn, Yehudi Menuhin, Hans Graf and Stephane Grappelli.

Benjamin Schmid was a pupil of Stéphane Grappelli and Yehudi Menuhin, with whom he made his professional debut in Salzburg; major prize-winner at the Carl Flesch International and frequently the 'Editor's Choice' of the 'Gramophone' magazine for his recordings of Bach and Ysaÿe.

The 'adventures' follow Schmid to St Petersburg in the Shostakovich Hall, Tokyo with the New Japan Philharmonic, China with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Rome with Hans Werner Henze, the USA with the Houston Symphony, London and with the Philharmonia playing Britten, Pärt, Paganini, Mozart, jazz and the now famous Korngold Concerto in Salzburg.
