Description
Led by Austrian tenor saxophonists Karlheinz Miklin, this trio was originally formed in 2001 with the great American drummer Billy Hart and bassist Ron McClure. On this their third album, Ron McClure is replaced by Heiri Känzig, who has recorded for labels such as Blue Note and Act.
Recorded live at Porgy & Bess in Vienna in 2010, the programme features all original compositions by Miklin in a sortie of melodic improvisations in which the players share equal solo spots as well as adhering to a clearly defined trio concept and sound.
