From jazz vocalists such as Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald to white singers such as Jimmie Rodgers and Bing Crosby, everybody wanted a piece of Louis, either as a singer or accompanist, while fellow band leaders like Louis Jordan and Jack Teagarden and even rock'n'rollers such as Fats Domino all owed 'Satchmo' a huge influence.
