Description
In 1997 Robin Laing released an album of whisky songs ("The Angel's Share") and subsequently published a book of these and other songs and poems, "The Whisky Muse". This album sees a further 14 songs from the book committed to CD by Robin under the sympathetic guidance of Davy Scott ( of The Pearlfishers). The main object of both Robin and Davy when recording the album was to let each song dictate the musical treatment with its story and feel, and to have fun in the process. They succeeded on both counts. Fourteen wonderful songs about 'the water of life'. -
