Suk Chamber Orchestra Prague & Josef Vlach
Description
The Suk Chamber Orchestra of Prague presents three generations of music of Czech origin from the twentieth century. The program features Janá 269;ek, Martin 367;, and Kalabis.
Viktor Kalabis composed the "Diptych" for the Suk Chamber Orchestra, which also shows us its best side with this expressive music.
The pure performance joy that is this top Czech ensemble's hallmark has inspired many outstanding musicians, including Paul Tortelier, Igor Oistrach, and Heinz Holliger, to work with it. This orchestra consisting of about twenty instrumentalists renders works from its native region with a chamber transparency that even after so many years has lost nothing of its freshness.
